Something i never thought i’d do…
So a last week i had a conversation with Melody and Stacey about pink shirts. Stacey said that pink shirts are really hot on guys, and when i told her i heard someone say it “takes a real man” to wear a pink shirt, she agreed. Melody on the other hand is not so fond of pink shirts on guys and thinks “its just not normal”.
After all this talk about pink shirts, i started to notice guys that wore pink shirts…and working at the mall you see a lot of people. After seeing a few guys in pink shirts there was a common factor i was begining to see among them…they were almost always with a really hot girl! So the other day at lunch (after stuffing myself with all the great food from the potluck of course) i was feeling a little adventurous so i decided to go do a little shopping. American eagle was the first place i went and the first thing i saw in the store was a pink polo shirt…on sale of course. Was it a sign from god? Probably not…but it WAS a pretty sweet deal, so i figured i’d at least try it on to see how it looked. So once i found my size(kids small) i tried it on…and i didn’t think it looked too bad. But should i buy it? This would be the first pink shirt i would ever own… Would people think i was gay? Or would girls think it was hot? Anyone that knows me knows that i have no problems returning items after i’ve used them, so i figured i could just do the same thing here…buy the shirt, get a few opinions from some friends in the store, and then return it if i decided i didn’t want it.
So i get the shirt and head back up to the store. Upon walking in i passed someone who happened to look in my bag and said “hey Tanner, did you get a pink shirt?…i have like seven of them!” Now to keep this person anonymous i’ll just call him J. Wilson….no wait…thats too obvious…lets just call him Jason W. but he is probably the LAST person i would want fashion advice from…did i make a bad decision? But i decided to get some other opinions tho, so i went and tried on the shirt and showed it off at work…and it was a hit!(among the girls at least…i did get called gay a few times by some guys and was told i look like a frat guy) Luckily Stacey and Melody were working, so i could get their opinions too, because it was them who got me hooked on this pink shirt thing in the first place. Stacey said it looked “reeaaallly good” and even Melody said she liked it. Although not everyone liked it…when i showed Becca my shirt she said “we can not be friends anymore”! I don’t think she really meant it, but i know she doesn’t like pink shirts on guys. But its ok…i think she will get over it. A few days later i’m still surprised i now own a pink shirt…Next time i go out or have a party i’ll wear the pink shirt and let you all know how it works out for me.
Oh yeah, and the next day i told Fox about my pink shirt and he said “thats gay, i don’t even own a pink shirt”. He also told me that drinking the water out of the water fountain makes you gay…but i think he just WISHES it made people gay.
